Paws & Pours Fundraiser Supports Shelter Animals in Valley
Noozhawk | Santa Barbara
Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society/DAWG will present Paws & Pours: A Night for the Animals, an evening of wine, food, and community support for shelter animals, June 28 at 27 Vines.
Proceeds from Paws & Pours benefit veterinary care, shelter improvements, rescue operations, and the day-to-day needs of animals in SYVHS/DAWG’s care.
Last year’s event (under the Spayghetti Dinner banner) helped raise more than $150,000, and allowed the shelter to reopen its low-cost clinic, which provides spay/neuter surgeries and affordable vaccines.
This year’s event is an evolution of the annual fundraiser, formerly known as The Spayghetti Dinner. The mission remains the same, though — to provide care, compassion, and second chances to the animals of the Santa Ynez Valley.
Paws & Pours is designed to reflect the spirit of the shelter and the wine country community that supports it.
Guests will enjoy curated wine, a multi-course dinner, and the chance to meet some of the furry faces that benefit from their generosity.
“We’re excited to welcome our community to an event that not only showcases the best of the valley’s food and wine but also supports the lifesaving work we do every day for homeless and vulnerable animals,” said Carla Mead, board chair of SYVHS/DAWG. “Every sip and every dollar makes a difference.”
Event highlights include: a silent auction with local experiences and artisan goods, heartwarming adoption stories, and updates from the shelter; live music, and a toast to sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
